After 20 years in IT, Mr. Laney has become a worldwide authority, speaker and writer on analytic solutions and data management. Most recently, as vice president and service director with leading IT analyst firm, META Group, he formed and profitably managed one of its core research divisions while advising over a thousand IT departments and vendors on IT strategy. Previously, Mr. Laney launched and ran the Asia-Pacific consulting business for Prism Solutions after forming and growing the Midwest US consulting business from $480K to $7M in under three years. Mr. Laney graduated with a BS in Software Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Illinois and rose to a manager level with Andersen Consulting where he managed multi-million dollar client projects.
