Project Sunblock, the double ABC accredited content verification platform, has successfully secured a second round of independent funding, just over a year into its commercial operation. After previously securing funding from German venture capital group Delphi, this new seven figure sum is the biggest investment the company has secured since it was founded.
After a successful first half to 2013, which has seen the company enlist its first digital media planning and buying agency agenda21, and open offices in Germany, the company is planning on using the funding to make significant improvements to the core product. The first step for developing a new beta product for use with existing clients by the end of 2013 is to make a series of senior hires at the product development level.
Project Sunblock already recognises 11 languages natively, with offices in North America, the UK, and Germany, and is designed to protect brands online from appearing on compromising websites. Earlier this year the company achieved its second ABC accreditation, responding to changes in client defined inappropriate content in under a minute. The platform enables brands to execute online advertising campaigns more effectively whilst limiting reputational damage, and is the product of the online advertising buying process becoming increasingly automated.
