Workforce management technology leads to 15% reduction in operating costs

Corporate Modelling, the workforce management technology provider, today announces that insurance outsourcer HCL IBS has won the 2013 WfMC Award for Excellence in BPM and Workflow for the Operational Excellence (“OpEx”) solution designed, built  and implemented by the two companies working together in partnership.

The OpEx project was initiated in 2009 to design, build and implement a Transaction Management Solution to manage the throughput of policyholder transactions using a factory based end to end model ensuring light touch, first in first out and one and done principles. Since the first roll out in September 2011, HCL IBS has benefitted from increased productivity and operational efficiency, including:

  • A progressive reduction in overall operating costs of 15 per cent
  • A 15 per cent plus increase in the number of transactions processed per person
  • A cultural and behavioural shift, with clearer learning tools, supporting controls and governance to encourage a fully engaged workforce
  • A measurable reduction in policyholder complaints
