News Release

B2B social intelligence platform, CrowdVu, gives marketing context to social profiles
Released: 5th November 2013
Publisher: RealWire

Today Gumbyte launches CrowdVu, the first single SaaS platform to convert social prospects into B2B-segmented marketing data.

For marketers and sales professionals alike, CrowdVu identifies key prospects and influencers by conversation, sector and region. For marketers and CRM/database managers, the tool provides a rich source of qualified influencers and prospects based on social conversations. The added bonus is the platform will shortly be able to integrate into an email marketing, marketing automation or CRM application.

For sales professionals this means they can now take part in social selling - listening out for sales opportunities on social channels and then acquire key contact data for these prospects.

CrowdVu has been developed by Gumbyte, a spin-out company from CleverTouch; Europe’s most advanced and respected enabler of marketing automation (MA) technologies.

CrowdVu had over 130 clients participate in its closed beta, which featured the products social search capability. The organisations which took part ranged from SMBs to larger enterprises.

CrowdVu will be sold 100 per cent through channel partners and already has three committed partners from the marketing automation ecosystem who will sell the product; CleverTouch, McRae&Co and Purple Salix.

Pete Jakob at Purple Salix commented on CrowdVu, “Having worked in the industry for a number of years, I am aware of the products and services available to the market and I’ve seen nothing that matches its intelligence or ease of use. Marketers have talked a long time about developing personas to market to, well now it is possible to actually search them and identify people based on their interests and roles in a way that was not possible with traditional data acquisition strategies.”

“CrowdVu is a very powerful tool for enabling sales and marketing teams to quickly, and cost effectively, identify and engage with new qualified prospects to build out the database,” comments Scot McRae, Managing Director at McRae&Co. He adds, “We are continually searching for applications complementary to marketing automation that helps companies increase sales performance and marketing effectiveness, and CrowdVu does just that. Sales professionals can now easily identify and make contact with qualified new prospects and marketing teams can quickly identify the key influencers and latest trends.”

“It is my belief that that CrowdVu will become an essential part of the toolkit for modern business-to-business selling and marketing,” concludes McRae.

“The application allows organisations to get a better handle on their social demand generation by leveraging the rich and untapped resource of social media. It’s achieved in a three-step process of search, enrich and connect,” commentedNathan Windle, product director at Gumbyte. “CrowdVu is a significant step in providing a coherent framework for structuring and making sense of unstructured social platforms for forward-looking organisations,” added Nathan.

Sales and marketing professionals and organisations are invited to start seeing the benefits of social intelligence by signing up for a freemium account of CrowdVu today. The full API connector suite, which integrates with marketing automation platforms such as; Eloqua and Marketo, is launching in Q1 2014.

Furthermore, CrowdVu is looking to increase its partner base from the marketing automation and CRM ecosystem, especially outside the UK, more details can be found here
