News Release

Baroness Neville-Jones and Nick Leeson to speak at NTT Com Security annual security event

Information Security World asks customers & partners to 'Transform Security, Liberate Business'
Released: 25th October 2013
Publisher: NTT Com Security

NTT Com Security (formerly Integralis) the power behind WideAngle, the global information security and risk management brand, will play host to an exciting line-up of speakers at its annual Information Security World event in London on Tuesday 5 November 2013.

Topping the bill is Baroness Neville-Jones, the former security minister and now the Government’s special representative to business on cyber security, and Nick Leeson, responsible for the collapse of Barings Bank – one of the most spectacular disasters in modern financial history.  Nick will provide a fascinating insight into the continuing failures of management at large corporations who are failing to protect shareholders and customers from risk.

Television presenter, Juliet Morris, famous for BBC Newsround and BBC Breakfast News, will kick off the event to more than 300 customers, partners and employees, and address the theme of the day – ‘Transform Security, Liberate Business’.  Neal Lillywhite, SVP Northern Europe, NTT Com Security, will also announce new research conducted by the company looking at the role of security and risk within UK businesses.

“When it comes to information security and risk planning within business, it seems we are still falling short in many ways and not fully prepared for the unexpected,” according to Neal Lillywhite, SVP Northern Europe, NTT Com Security.  “Our annual security customer and partner forum will address the challenges that organisations still face in preparing for the worst and ensuring that they take a proactive approach to assessing risk, rather than just a reactive approach to threats.”

This year’s event will also feature themed break-out sessions, exploring the real issues that businesses face, solution scenarios and customer experiences, as well as insights into the latest technology. There will also be a panel discussion with Baroness Neville-Jones, Royal Holloway, an NTT Com Security Consultant and a customer, debating the shortage of skills in the information security, risk and compliance sectors.

Information Security World 2013 will take place at 200 Aldersgate, St Paul’s, London on Tuesday 5 November.  For more information and to register (not open to the media), please visit: http://www.integralis.com/us/events/information-security-world.
