COMPUTERLINKS sale to Arrow Electronics Inc. finalised
Released: 28th October 2013

Munich, 28th October, 2013: COMPUTERLINKS AG, the next generation global distributor of IT security and Internet technology solutions, confirmed the completion of the sale of COMPUTERLINKS Group by all shareholders (COMPUTERLINKS Management and funds managed by Equistone Partners Europe Limited) to Arrow Electronics Inc. for €230 million, following approval by European and US anti-trust authorities. The completion follows the announcement of the deal by Equistone in August 2013.

Funds managed by Equistone acquired a majority stake in COMPUTERLINKS, alongside the management team, in 2008. To manage the process, an Integration Team has been formed comprising a number of senior staff from both COMPUTERLINKS and Arrow. This team will plan and oversee the details of the acquisition to ensure a smooth transition for all COMPUTERLINKS’ staff, vendors and channel partners.

Stephan Link, CEO and founder of COMPUTERLINKS AG said, “This is a momentous time in our development. The strength of the combined group will provide new opportunities for our staff, technology partners and customers and allow us to be even more successful.”

As a result of the sale, the combined group, representing COMPUTERLINKS and Arrow’s enterprise computing solutions segment, will be represented in 33 countries worldwide. It will include an expanded Professional Services offering a combination of current and new services from both companies.
