Marlow, UK, 13 November 2013 – Following a financial year which saw the IT reseller achieve 30% revenue growth, Softcat is supporting its development by welcoming another 29 new recruits this week – six of whom will be starting brand new positions at Softcat's office in Bristol. The new starts will undertake comprehensive training as part of their induction to their new positions at Softcat offices across the UK. The 29 new recruits are just the latest of 120 who have joined the company this financial year; Softcat is ramping up its recruitment drive in anticipation of increasing its workforce by a quarter.
Softcat is opening a fourth business base in Bristol following a booming financial year that saw the IT reseller achieve 30% revenue growth. In order to support its growing product demand and customer base, Softcat is recruiting heavily for the new Bristol office, and its offices in London, Manchester and Marlow. The 29 new recruits will mainly fill corporate and public sector sales executive roles, but other positions include sales support, credit control, resource control, customer service, and networking and security specialists.
Softcat's managing director Colin Brown enthusiastically welcomed the new recruits. "Another timely influx of hungry minds. Softcat recruits both entry-level candidates and professionals, and has recently implemented a 12-month government approved apprenticeship programme for school-leavers and other non-graduates. The paid apprentices learn on the job in Softcat’s network operations center (NOC), with intensive classroom-based training in managed technical services and support, resulting in formal qualifications from Microsoft, Cisco or HP.
