News Release

NHS organisations get access to Graphnet CareCentric suite through G-Cloud 4
Released: 21st November 2013
Publisher: Softcat

Marlow, UK, 21 November 2013 – Graphnet Health, supplier of electronic health records to the NHS and social care providers, is the latest vendor to team up with Softcat on version 4 of the G-Cloud framework. Softcat’s Partner Alliance team will provide NHS and social care organisations with access to Graphnet’s CareCentric electronic record software running on a cloud infrastructure.

Over 30,000 care professionals at over 40 NHS trusts already use CareCentric software to access more than 17 million patient records across the UK. CareCentric is designed to support the delivery of integrated care services, whether across whole health economies or individual care settings, by providing access to a single, secure electronic health record.  Care professionals can access the record from their remote, mobile or desktop devices, whether at various locations within a hospital or GP practice, at other hospitals, in the community or at home. CareCentric is fully interoperable, connecting to most of the major health and social care IT systems being used in the UK, including EMIS, iSoft, INPS, Microtest, RiO, Ascribe and twenty more.

Mark Brazington, Softcat’s Partner Alliance Manager, said, “What we’re increasingly seeing is health organisations getting over their ‘fear of data’ and moving towards hosted data solutions that incorporate every aspect of a patient’s medical history, emergency contact details, allergies and so on, all on one platform in what we call a ‘shared care record’.

“Using Graphnet’s CareCentric software saves healthcare professionals time, money and resources as they can access patient records quickly and easily. This partnership offers customers infinite scalability and reliability of service at G-Cloud prices.”

Jamie Burke, Public Sector Sales Director, said, “Many G-Cloud customers are already familiar with Softcat, so we’re well-placed to channel new vendor products. We want to use our standing to help Graphnet implement their solutions on a much wider scale, to customers with an exact requirement. Our partnership with Graphnet, and its inclusion on the G-Cloud framework, gives us an opportunity to introduce hundreds of new health organisations to the benefits of CareCentric.”

Andy Bratt, Managing Director of Graphnet, said he was delighted that the company’s bid for inclusion on G-Cloud 4 had been successful. “Our aim is to be as flexible as possible in terms of what we can offer health and social care organisations. A place on the G-Cloud framework through Softcat offers accelerated procurement procedures, and gives customers the option of buying CareCentric applications running on a cloud infrastructure, with all the scalability benefits that implies.”

Softcat is working with a number of partners to deliver products and services through G-Cloud. Softcat has tendered at every stage of the G-Cloud evolution, steadily increasing its foothold on the framework with 12 vendors and 32 different service provisions, including Snow Software’s SAM solution and Box’s content sharing software. More information about these vendors, along with a G-Cloud price calculation tool, can be found here.

Graphnet’s CareCentric suite is available for purchase through G-Cloud now. Please call 01628 4903 403 for details.
