G-Cloud 4: TITUS partners with Softcat to provide government agencies with data classification
Marlow, UK, 28 November 2013 – In an exclusive new contract under the G-Cloud agreement, Softcat is to provide TITUS’ data classification products to government agencies. Softcat’s public sector clients will have access to competitively priced TITUS solutions with which to protect, manage and securely share data.
Central government, and increasingly local government organisations are adhering to the Public Sector Network (PSN) mandate, which requires them to classify their data. TITUS software classifies, protects, and secures data, and restricts access and data privileges. As the software will be provided through G-Cloud, customers will be able to purchase TITUS software at discounted prices.
Grant Davey, Softcat’s public sector networking and security manager, said, “Data security is one area in which technology cannot afford to stand still; threats are continually growing in sophistication and so the need for up-to-date data protection is key – particularly for government agencies dealing with sensitive and confidential data. TITUS’ software enables organisations to control data access and privileges, enforce encryption for sensitive documents and restrict data movement and amendments.”
Andy Bruen, Softcat’s public sector frameworks manager, said, “TITUS is currently the only provider of these particular data classification products within the G-Cloud. By partnering with us it negates the need for multiple deals and bids – we take the difficulties out and make their participation both easy and profitable. Furthermore, we enable government agencies to procure and implement their technology quickly and cost effectively.” He added, “By entering the G-Cloud framework, TITUS has expanded its target market. With a product offering as singular as theirs in the G-Cloud, we hope to make the most of this opportunity for them.”
”We are pleased to be working with Softcat to make our classification solutions available to public sector clients in the UK though G-Cloud,” said Tim Upton, President and CEO of TITUS. “Giving government agencies a way to easily access our classification solutions through G-Cloud, allowing them to get up and running quickly, is certainly a benefit for our customers.”
Softcat is working with a number of partners to deliver products and services through G-Cloud. Softcat has tendered at every stage of the G-Cloud evolution, steadily increasing its foothold on the framework with 12 vendors and 32 different service provisions, including Snow Software’s SAM solution and Box’s content sharing software. More information about these vendors, along with a G-Cloud price calculation tool, can be found here.
TITUS’ data classification solutions are available to G-Cloud framework customers exclusively through Softcat. Call 01628 403 403 to enquire further.
