Funked up Fixies helps Integrity Solutions on its road to a Healthier and Funkier Lifestyle

Funked Up Fixes is producing 55 customised bikes for Integrity Solutions
Released: 7th November 2013
Publisher: Integrity Solutions

Funked up Fixies, a customised bicycle provider, has secured its largest order to date by producing 55 personalised bikes for staff members of Irish IT security provider, Integrity Solutions. The deal comes as Integrity Solutions aims to improve its green credentials while encouraging healthy living among its employees.

Funked up Fixies creates customised bikes in an extensive range of colours and styles for individuals and companies. Based in Dublin, the team at Funked up Fixies work with their customers to design bikes which are fun and instantly recognisable, so the cyclist can stand out from the crowd or deliver a unique branding message. Its aim is to become part of the future of cycling and see the bikes cruising the streets of Dublin as they benefit from the Cycle Network Plan which is currently underway in Dublin.

The Cycle Network Plan will see hundreds of kilometres being added into the cycleway system in Dublin, to cater for the cyclist surge in the city centre of 45% since 2006*

Integrity Solutions, selected 55 customised blue bikes with the company’s logo displayed on the crossbar to give it a unique finishing touch. The deal, which is worth €16,500, is proving to be very popular among employees. Eoin Goulding, managing director, Integrity Solutions said, “It’s great to see our company branded bikes appearing around Dublin.  Our employees have even started taking them to meetings.”

According to the www.dublincitycycling.ie  website, “Cycling 10km each way to work instead of driving saves an average of 1.3 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions each year and reduces the effects of global warming.”

The website also reveals that regular cyclists are as fit as the average person 10 years younger, are less likely to suffer from depression and are more likely to sleep better. Integrity Solutions also hopes that having healthier, happier employees, in turn, will have a positive impact on productivity.

Speaking on behalf of Funked up Fixies, Olaf O’Moore, CEO said, “We’re seeing a huge demand now from businesses who want to encourage staff to cycle to work. This is the biggest order we’ve had to date but we expect a lot more of them as the Cycle Network Plan continues. It’s a unique and quirky way for companies to build their brands and to encourage employees to take an alternative mode of transport to work. Also a Custom Funked Up bike provides a meaningful, yet affordable, way for companies to reward their staff, for all their hard work.”

“The Dublin transport office is continuing to invest every year on improving cycling conditions around the capital and we want to be a part of the future of cycling – not to mention making our mark on the urban landscape. As a growing company, we are really excited about the next few years.”

Eoin Goulding concluded, “We want to encourage healthy living among our employees and when we saw the bikes we thought they’d be a great fit for us. We’re delighted with how they turned out and the team in Funked up Fixies made the whole process very fun and easy.”
