hybris Commerce Accelerator Opens The World of Multi-Channel to Joules Clothing

High street retailer underpins global commerce plans with hybris platform

hybris, the world’s fastest-growing commerce platform provider ranked “leader” by both principle analyst firms, today announced that British family fashion retailer, Joules, are utilising the ‘out of the box’ hybris Commerce Accelerator to support the launch of their new, powerful website which has been facilitated through hybris partner, Eclipse Group.

Joules have been increasing their international online presence for some years, and were keen to make best use of their existing hybris platform to continue their expansion and enhance their onsite customer experience with new features. The hybris Commerce Accelerator provides the tools that enable companies to deploy a fully integrated, truly multi-channel commerce solution and includes more features and options as standard than any other solution currently available.

Tony Lake, Design and Development Manager at Joules, said: “We already have a great website built on the hybris Commerce Suite, but we believe the Commerce Accelerator will open the world up to us. By underpinning our eCommerce offer with a platform that is easily upgradeable, highly scalable and delivers modules as and when we need them, we are well positioned for future growth and international expansion.”

Eclipse Group have worked in close partnership with Joules in order to ensure the new website offers customers new and exciting features. These include new page designs to provide an improved user interface and a better online shopping experience, and the inclusion of a “Guest User” check-out, which studies have shown encourages better conversion rates.

“Eclipse understood our requirements and helped us to extract what we needed from the hybris Commerce Accelerator,” continued Tony Lake.  “Eclipse will provide all our operational support on an ongoing basis, so they have an intimate knowledge of how the system works and everything we have seen through this project has been of the highest quality.”

One of the advantages of the hybris Commerce Accelerator is that it allows multi-channel projects to start with fully working storefronts, enabling businesses to go live in just three to four months, however, Joules has used it to enhance and rebuild what was already a successful eCommerce offer to provide an even stronger platform for future international and multi-channel growth.

“We have made what was an appealing website into something even better by focusing on the technical build in the background,” said Tony Lake. “One of the greatest advantages is that the platform will allow us to manage a greater number of people on the site, and rapidly deploy our site new languages and new currencies.
