LogLogic Completes Acquisition of Exaprotect
Log management leader forges ahead with pro-active security management
Released: 21st May 2009
Publisher: The PR Network

LogLogic®, the log management leader, today announced it has completed its purchase of privately held Exaprotect. The Mountain View, Calif. company is a leading provider of enterprise security, threat and security configuration change management solutions.

"By combining Exaprotect with LogLogic, we are able to provide an innovative and easy to use security management suite for our customers integrated with the market-leading log management platform - something they won't find from other vendors in this market," said Patricia Sueltz, President and CEO of LogLogic. "A lot of vendors can monitor security events, but we simplify the process and provide guided remediation and pro-active configuration and change management to further compliance and reduce costs."

Exaprotect's patented and patent-pending technologies will extend LogLogic's open log management platform by leveraging log data already collected for compliance purposes to fuel security event management and will add change management capabilities. LogLogic is the industry's first company to offer a security management suite fully integrated with log management. By providing security change and configuration management, LogLogic provides pro-active compliance and prevents data breaches. The company's appliance-based products are easy to install and maintain, enabling businesses to stretch their IT operational resources and achieve more with less.

"We are innovating to provide customers with the security management capabilities they need to protect their data," said Sueltz. "Combining forces with Exaprotect enables us to unify historically disparate point solutions and allows customers to implement truly pro-active compliance programmes."
