Analytics leader looks to partners to help broaden customer base in information economy

SAS has appointed Richard Bradbury as the new director of Alliances & Partners for UK & Ireland.
Released: 19th February 2014
Publisher: SAS Software Limited

As part of its strategy to increase penetration of the small and medium-sized business market plus build out broader and deeper business solutions to its largest clients, SAS, the global leader in business analytics, has appointed Richard Bradbury as the new director of Alliances & Partners for UK & Ireland.

Richard’s role will be to drive this business both through existing partnerships and development of a wider partner network. Big data analytics are set to be adopted by more than just the largest organisations which are established users of analytics, given the proliferation of data in the new information economy and the fact that data visualisation technology and analytics as-a-service offerings mean in-house expertise is no longer essential.

Richard has worked successfully for technology company EMC in a variety of senior roles for the past 11 years. He has managed global accounts and successfully built its international telecoms business over a four-year period.

He will report to Mark Wilkinson, managing director for SAS UK & Ireland, who commented: “Partners and alliances are absolutely critical to our ability to grow the business. Not only do we believe that they will become increasingly important in bringing business to us, but they will be crucial in augmenting our delivery capability.

“Richard joins SAS at an exciting time in our industry, as more and more organisations can start to apply analytics to all the internal and external data now available to them, giving them the power to know more about their business and customers.”
