Talend Platform for Big Data Certified on IBM InfoSphere BigInsights and IBM PureData System for Hadoop

Integration Leader Provides Integration Solution for IBM's Increasingly Popular Big Data Platforms,Accelerating Deployment of Hadoop in the Enterprise

Maidenhead, Berkshire, UK – November 6, 2013 – Talend, the global integration software leader, today announced that the Talend Platform for Big Data has been certified to run with IBM BigInsights and IBM PureData System for Hadoop. A powerful and versatile big data integration and quality solution, the Talend Platform for Big Data dramatically simplifies and accelerates the loading and processing of large and diverse data sets inside big data platforms so users can make more informed and timely decisions.

IBM InfoSphere BigInsights is a software platform for discovering, analysing, and visualising data from disparate sources. The flexible platform is built on an Apache Hadoop open source framework that runs in parallel on commonly-available, low-cost hardware. It can easily scale to analyse hundreds of terabytes, petabytes, or more of raw data that is derived from various sources. By using IBM InfoSphere BigInsights, users can extract new insights from the data to enhance knowledge of their business. IBM PureData System for Hadoop delivers a smarter way to reduce complexity, accelerate time to value and improve IT economics. It is a purpose-built, standards-based, expert-integrated system that architecturally integrates IBM InfoSphere BigInsights Hadoop-based software, server and storage into a single, easy-to-manage system.

With these certifications, IBM and Talend can now offer enterprise business analysts and data scientists integrated solutions that can quickly and easily integrate their Big Data initiatives with other information systems.

“These IBM certifications are designed to help enterprise companies manage their Big Data efforts by making it simpler, faster and more economical to analyse massive amounts of data,” said François Chiche, Talend’s vice president of channels & alliances. “Through Talend’s native support for the platforms, including native Hadoop code generation, IBM customers are able to accelerate the time to value of their big data initiatives by leveraging the full power of their Hadoop-based appliance.”

By offering Talend’s platform for Big Data as a solution that supports IBM InfoSphere BigInsights and IBM PureData System for Hadoop, IBM and Talend are allowing their joint customers to benefit from the flexibility of an integrated platform that enables them to easily analyse and manage vast and complex amounts of data from disparate sources, including social data, machine data and text analytics.  The combined solutions offer simplicity, flexibility, and consumability in a single integrated system.

The benefits of Talend's solution with IBM BigInsights will be demonstrated in the PureSystems booth at IOD (booth #626).
