Hybrid Cloud Service Providers, M7 Managed Services, Host Event at IBM Southbank
Released: 6th November 2013
Publisher: M7 Managed Services

M7 Managed Services Ltd, the IT managed service specialist, today announces that it is hosting a Hybrid Cloud Managed Service event for ISVs looking to offer customers a new way to deploy their applications. The event will be held at IBM Southbank, on 14th November 2013.

At the forthcoming ISV Forum, ISVs will learn how IBM’s Cloud Appliance technology is enabling M7 to provide a low cost, scalable and secure, shared services environment for ISVs to deploy their customer solutions.

When combined with IBM Softlayer Public Cloud capabilities, M7 provides ISVs’ customers with a full off-premise solution that incorporates the benefits of local management and data domesticity in a UK Private Cloud, with the Global Reach of the IBM Cloud.

The Appliance approach to deploying ISV solutions has long been part of the company’s strategy, having deployed IBM platform solutions to over 20 countries under the ISI Solution Programme. 2013 saw new installations in Argentina, Belgium and Germany to add to Japan, Nepal, India, Egypt and the USA to name just a few.

M7 has seen major growth in its Cloud business with total 2013 revenues growing 100% year on year. Recent ISO9001 and ISO14001 accreditations and a new facility at the BT NGD Data Centre have resulted in a significant expansion in customer contracts.

Neil Cornish, Managing Director, M7 Managed Services Ltd, comments, “We continue to work with our partners and customers to understand how businesses can more effectively deploy their applications. By combining the performance and density of new appliance-technology from IBM we can significantly reduce the infrastructure costs associated with hosting enterprise applications. However, by placing these appliances in UK Data Centres, ISVs and customers don’t have to move their business critical data into offshore data centres as part of a public cloud solution. With IBM’s acquisition of Softlayer, we now have a perfect partner for our UK based managed services, enabling us to deploy web services and non-essential data applications in a Global Cloud, all with a single point of management: M7.”

M7 is an IBM Premier Business Partner and has recently made significant investment in partnership with IBM in becoming the UK Centre of competence for IBM in the Telecommunications Sector and is one of the first UK Managed Services companies to offer solutions on IBM Pure Systems.

To find out how M7 can help with your Cloud Deployment and  business infrastructure projects please joins us at IBM Southbank on November 14th or call us on 01443-657100.

Following its success at MWC 2012 and 2013, M7 Managed Services will be exhibiting at MWC 2014 in February as part of its joint initiative with the Welsh Assembly to attract global ICT providers to South Wales.
