Clavister Joins Intel Network Builders Program

Partnership will help optimise next-generation firewall performance and Software Defined Networks
Released: 27th November 2013
Publisher: Clavister

Clavister, a leader in high-performance, high-availability network security, has announced that it has joined the new Intel Network Builders program.  This cross-industry initiative was established to make it easier for cloud providers and telcos to build and manage Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) infrastructures, with lower capital and operating costs.

Participating in the Intel Network Builders program will enable Clavister to further grow awareness of the benefits of its Virtual Series Gateways in business-critical datacentre, telco and cloud environments, and will consolidate the company’s position as a leading provider of carrier-grade security and SDN solutions.

Clavister’s award-winning Virtual Series Gateway next-generation firewall (NGFW) solutions include the world’s fastest 1U firewall, capable of up to 240 Gbps throughput, and give up to six nines (99.9999%) availability for carrier-grade applications.  This enables the most demanding multi-transaction environments to be secured with unmatched throughput performance and low latency, using Clavister solutions.

John Vestberg, CEO of Clavister said:  “Data traffic volumes for telcos and infrastructure providers are continuing to grow at a fantastic rate, driven by the growth in connected mobile devices and associated services.  This is putting additional pressure on providers to be more efficient and agile in supporting faster provisioning of services, while maintaining security.

“Working as part of the Intel Network Builders ecosystem, we continue our strategy of strengthening Clavister’s position as the natural choice for SDN/NFV network security, and can contribute further in helping to optimize telco and datacentre infrastructures that meet these demanding requirements,” added Vestberg.
