News Release

Workshare Launches Secure File Sharing Capabilities at Gartner Summit

Workshare to Showcase and Demo Professional 8 for Secure File Sharing
Released: 10th September 2013
Publisher: Chameleon PR

Workshare, a leading provider of secure enterprise collaboration applications, today announced that Dave Ewart, Workshare’s Senior Director of Product Marketing, will speak at this year’s Gartner Portals, Content and Collaboration Summit. The summit will be held at the London Lancaster Hotel from September 16 – 17. Dave Ewart’s session, “Secure File Sharing beyond the Corporate Network,” will take place in the Solutions Showcase Theater on September 17 at 9:35 a.m. and will explain how organizations can secure their documents with content and context-aware data policies.

At the event, Workshare will also be offering previews of Professional 8. The application enables accurate document comparison and review, while protecting documents with secure file transfer and metadata cleaning. Professional 8 bridges the gap between users that seek simplicity and ease of use, and IT departments that need to retain control, visibility, and auditability of documents inside and outside of the firewall. Workshare’s application provides users with end-to-end encryption and advanced control functions that are significantly more secure than email and self-provisioned file sharing applications, meeting the strict compliance mandates associated with regulated markets.

“In an increasingly mobile world, knowledge workers must be able to access and share large and confidential files from any device,” said Ali Moinuddin, Workshare's CMO. “But ensuring those files are secure is just as, if not more, important. We’re looking forward to speaking with IT leaders about the risks associated with unsecure sharing and sync tools, and showing them how they can harness content and context-aware data policies as a viable alternative.”

Workshare is a Silver Sponsor of the Gartner Portals, Content & Collaboration Summit and will be exhibiting at booth # S17. The event will offer IT decision makers the tools and insights needed to get the most out of their investments and initiatives in the areas of social, cloud, and mobile.
